Nilton Santos "A Enciclopédia"

Nílton dos Santos, mais conhecido como Nílton Santos (Rio de Janeiro, 16 de maio de 1925 — Rio de Janeiro, 27 de novembro de 2013) foi um futebolistabrasileiro que atuava como lateral-esquerdo. Em 2000, foi eleito pela FIFA como o melhor lateral-esquerdo de todos os tempos.
Integrou o plantel da seleção brasileira nos campeonatos mundiais de 195019541958 e 1962, tendo sido bicampeão nas duas últimas.
Foi chamado de "A Enciclopédia" por causa dos conhecimentos sobre o futebol e por ser completo como jogador. Considerado o maior lateral-esquerdo de todos os tempos, foi o precursor em arriscar subidas ao ataque através da lateral do campo. Revolucionou a posição de lateral-esquerdo, utilizando-se de sua versatilidade ao defender e atacar, inclusive marcando gols, numa época do futebol que apenas tinha a função defensiva.

Revolutionized the position of left-back, using his versatility to defend and attack, including scoring goals in a season of football that only had a defensive function.

( 100 ANOS Tomie Ohtake ) Happy Birthday!

Tomie Ohtake (Quioto21 de novembro de 1913) é uma artista plástica japonesa naturalizada brasileira. Aos vinte e três anos de idade viajou ao Brasil, para visitar um irmão mas não pode retornar devido a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
É uma das principais representantes do abstracionismo informal. Sua obra abrange pinturas, gravuras e esculturas. Foi premiada no Salão Nacional de Arte Moderna, em 1960; e em 1988, foi condecorada com a Ordem do Rio Branco pela escultura pública comemorativa dos 80 anos da imigração japonesa, em São Paulo.
Pela sua carreira consagrada Tomie Ohtake é considerada a “dama das artes plásticas brasileira”.  Segundo o crítico de arte Ichiro Hariu, os artistas como Tomie Ohtake, Tikashi FukushimaManabu Mabe e outros são reconhecidos abstracionistas, representativos do Brasil, que contam com muitos apoiadores.  Além de pertencerem ao grupo da geração de imigrantes do pré-guerra. Grupo esse constituído por imigrantes comuns que, após várias mudanças em suas vidas, despertaram para as artes plásticas e iniciaram seus trabalhos.
Tomie Ohtake é a mãe do arquiteto Ruy Ohtake.

Tomie Ohtake (Kyoto , November 21, 1913 ) is a Brazilian naturalized Japanese artist . At twenty- three years old traveled to Brazil to visit a brother but can not return due to World War II .
It is one of the main representatives of the informal abstractionism . His work includes paintings , prints and sculptures . Was awarded the National Modern Art in 1960 , and in 1988 was awarded the Order of Rio Branco by the public sculpture commemorating the 80 years of Japanese immigration in São Paulo .
By their consecrated Tomie Ohtake career is considered the " queen of Brazilian arts ." According to art critic Ichiro Hariu , artists like Tomie Ohtake , Tikashi Fukushima , Manabu Mabe and others are recognized abstractionist , representative of Brazil , which have many supporters . Winston Churchill

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill  (Oxfordshire30 de novembro de 1874 — Londres24 de janeiro de 1965 ) foi um político conservador e estadista britânico, famoso principalmente por sua atuação como primeiro-ministro do Reino Unido durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ele foi primeiro-ministro britânico por duas vezes (1940-45 e 1951-55). Orador e estadista notável, ele também foi oficial no Exército Britânico,historiadorescritor e artista. Ele é o único primeiro-ministro britânico a ter recebido o Prêmio Nobel de Literatura e a cidadania honorária dos Estados Unidos.
Durante sua carreira no exército, Churchill pôde assistir à ação militar na Índia britânica, no Sudão e na Segunda Guerra dos Bôeres (1899-1902). Ganhou fama e notoriedade como correspondente de guerra através dos livros que escreveu descrevendo as campanhas militares. Ele serviu brevemente no Exército britânico no Fronte Ocidental, durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial (1914-1918), comandando o 6º Batalhão dos Fuzileiros Reais Escoceses.
Churchill nasceu em uma família da nobreza britânica, da família do duque de Marlborough. Seu pai, Lorde Randolph Churchill, foi um carismático político, tendo servido como ministro da Fazenda do Reino Unido. Antes de alcançar o cargo de primeiro-ministro britânico, Churchill esteve em cargos proeminentes na política do Reino Unido por quatro décadas. Notavelmente sua eleição para o parlamento em 1900; sua ascensão a secretário para os Assuntos Internos em 1910; e sua estadia no Ministério da Fazenda do Reino Unido entre 1924 e 1929. Em 2002 foi eleito pela BBC o maior britânico de todos os tempos.

He was British Prime Minister twice ( 1940-45 and 1951-55 ) . Remarkable orator and statesman , he was also officer in the British Army , a historian , writer and artist . He is the only British prime minister to have received the Nobel Prize in Literature , and honorary citizenship of the United States .
During his army career , Churchill was able to attend the military action in British India , the Sudan and the Second Boer War ( 1899-1902 ) . Gained fame and notoriety as a war correspondent through books he wrote describing the military campaigns . He served briefly in the British Army on the Western Front during the First World War (1914-1918) , commanding the 6th Battalion of the Royal Scots Fusiliers .
Churchill was born into a family of British nobility , the family of the Duke of Marlborough . His father, Lord Randolph Churchill , was a charismatic politician , having served as Finance Minister of the United Kingdom . Before reaching the office of the British Prime Minister , Churchill was in prominent positions in UK policy for four decades . Notably his election to parliament in 1900 , his ascension to Secretary for Home Affairs in 1910 , and his stay at the Ministry of Finance in the UK between 1924 and 1929 . In 2002 he was elected by the largest British BBC of all time .
